This article details basic troubleshooting steps for BarCodeJet External. The install guide is linked at the bottom of this message.
BarCodeJet External reset procedure:
- Power off the printer.

Disconnect the BarCodeJet from power and ethernet connections.

Wait 30 seconds.
- Connect both ethernet connections to the BarCodeJet ("Output to Printer" and "Input from Host").
- Plug the power supply into the BarCodeJet.
- Power on the printer and wait for it to enter a "Ready" state.
- Confirm that the Status LED on BarCodeJet is solid green.
- Retest from application.
- If experiencing any reoccurring issues, make sure to update the firmware to the current revision
- If you continue to experience problems, take note of the state of the Power and Status LED's (indicated on the top label), and the Serial Number indicated on the back label of the BarCodeJet. Then submit a request for a ticket, give a brief description of the issue, along with the state of the LEDs and the Serial Number.
